Changes abound for Your Student Government
When Jack McCarthy stepped into the role of Vice President of Administration last spring, he and the rest of the executive team set out to update the structure of IUSA. McCarthy devised a plan that reconfigured departments and placed more focus on platform initiatives.
In lieu of continuing an outdated structure of nearly 20 departments reporting to a Chief of Staff, the new IUSA organization divides the administration into three distinct silos: Platform Issues, Internal Relations, and External Relations.
The IUSA executives also created what they affectionately refer to as "The Dream Team," which is a core group of students that serves as the President’s advisors and meets weekly.
